Home for the Holidays

“Our notion of the perfect society embraces the family as its center and ornament, and this paradise is not secure until children appear to animate and complete the picture.”
Amos Bronson Alcott (1799-1888)
American educator

“Remember as far as anyone knows, we’re a nice normal family.”
Homer Simpson

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! For my family, it meant games (Bananagrams is the chosen favorite), food, decorating cookies, football, visiting with friends, and of course, opening presents. My mom and I had a blast with the cookie decorating, as you can see below. In a way, the cookies sum up life and family – they may not be perfect (some may even be a little odd), but a lot of love and laughter went into them.
