As we all know, I’m a sucker for designer collaborations. It’s the rush of seeing what type of bargain collection a famous designer comes up with, and knowing that I could actually afford it. When I had heard Jason Wu would be the next collaborator, I wasn’t as excited as when Missoni was announced. I had always coveted those iconic zig-zags, and was so excited to have something that truly looked like a “real” Missoni piece. Jason Wu is a little more under-the-radar, and his style changes from season to season, rather than having an iconic “look.”
However, when the Jason Wu for Target lookbook was released yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised. His feminine pieces were perfectly on trend for Spring, and they look much more expensive than they are (prices range from $19.99 to $59.99 for clothes and $19.99 to $49.99 for accessories). And he definitely had me at the cat-printed purse and scarf. The collection goes on sale February 5th, and will be in stores until March 6th (that is, if it lasts past one day).
