Tadashi Shoji Fall 2012 RTW

New York Fashion Week is underway and the runway shows are pouring in. Tadashi Shoji was one of yesterday’s highly anticipated shows and he didn’t disappoint, wowing the crowds with luxurious fabrics and embellished gowns. He drew inspiration from Marlene Dietrich in “Shanghai Express,” producing gorgeous dresses reminiscent of the Golden Age of Shanghai with a moody undercurrent. I’m guessing we’ll see at least one of these stunners on the upcoming Oscar red carpet. See the full collection here.

I`ve never heard the name before, but I will definitely try to remember it! Looks beautiful!

    • He’s actually been around for awhile but stays under the radar. He started to gain attention again lately following the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards, where best supporting actress winner Octavia Spencer wore gowns from the designer’s Spring 2012 collection. I agree, beautiful! 🙂
