Seeing as picnicking in the park on sunny days with some wine and hors d’oeuvres is one of my favorite activities, I think this adorably chic picnic basket needs to move onto my virtual “wish list.” Not to mention that it happens to be designed by one of my favorite designers (Tracy Reese), and includes two bottles of wine from one of my favorite wineries (Clos du Bois). It’s as if someone psychically read my thoughts and came up with the ultimate “Veronica’s ideal picnic” combination.
The basket is lined with the iconic print “Summer Bloom” from Reese’s archival collection and comes with two napkins in the print, two wines glasses, a corkscrew, a bottle stopper, and two bottles of Clos du Bois wine (on the website it says it includes the 2009 Clos du Bois Cabernet Sauvignon North Coast and the 2010 Clos du Bois Chardonnay North Coast). You can purchase the basket and get more information on it here.
Picnics just got a lot more stylish thanks to Tracy Reese!
*On a side note, if you love white wines with a hint of sweetness (like a Sauvignon Blanc), I highly recommend the 2008 Clos du Bois Malvasia Bianca Russian River Valley. I have gone tasting at Clos du Bois several times now, and each time this wine is always the overall group favorite.
